Assoc. Prof. MÜGE YURTSEVER KILIÇGÜN

Biography

Müge YURTSEVER KILIÇGÜN, born in 1977 in Istanbul, completed her high school education at Terakki Foundation Şişli Terakki High School. She graduated from Hacettepe University Child Development and Education Department in 1999. Between 2000-2011, Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty Elementary Education Department Classroom Teaching Department with the teaching staff of Prof. Dr. Ayla Oktay worked as the Program Coordinator at the Implementation Unit. She completed her master's and doctorate education at Marmara University Preschool Education Department. He received his doctorate in 2002 with his thesis titled "The Effect of Mother Language Education Program on the Vocabulary Development of Five-Six Years-Old Children" and in 2009 with his thesis titled "Development of Parent-Child Rights Attitude Scale and Examining Parents' Attitudes Towards Children's Rights in Terms of Different Variables". In 2011, he was appointed as Assistant Professor Doctor to Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Health Services Vocational School Child Development Department and served as the head of the department. In 2012, he was appointed to the Faculty of Education, Department of Pre-School Education of the same university, worked on student recruitment and graduation, and continued to serve as the head of the department until 2018. Müge YURTSEVER KILIÇGÜN, who received the title of associate professor in the field of Basic Education Pre-School Education in 2020, still works as a faculty member in the same department and conducts courses on early childhood. His studies are generally focused on development, education and children's rights in early childhood, but he also has researches for parents with preschool children.
