Sekreterlik mesleğinin yıllar itibariyle gösterdiği gelişim karşısında Türkiye'de sekreterlik mesleği ile ilgili bir standardın oluşturulamaması, mesleğe olan yeterli hassasiyetin gösterilememesi, sekreterlik mesleğinin bayan mesleği olarak görülmesi ve toplumun bu konuda önyargıya sahip olması mesleğin gelişimini engelleyen faktörler arasında yer almaktadır. Diğer taraftan mesleğin gelişimine engel teşkil eden bu bakış açılarının düzeltilmesinde öncelikle üniversitelerdeki Büro Hizmetleri ve Sekreterlik Bölümlerinin önemli bir rol oynadığı düşünülmektedir. Çalışmamızda yukarıda belirtilen nedenlerden dolayı mesleki eğitimin gerekliliğini ve önemini ortaya koymak üzere Erzincan Üniversitesi Tercan Meslek Yüksekokulunda bir alan araştırması yapılmıştır. Söz konusu çalışma, bu alanda eğitim gören öğrenciler ile diğer bölüm öğrencilerinin görüşleri arasındaki farklılıkları tespit etmeye yöneliktir. Uygulanan anketler sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre; Büro Yönetimi ve Yönetici Asistanlığı Bölümü öğrencileri ile meslek yüksekokulundaki diğer bölüm öğrencilerinin mesleğe bakış açıları arasındaki farklılıklar karşılaştırılmalı olarak SPSS for Windows paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir.
The failure to create a standard related to profession in Turkey against the secretarial professional development that has shown over the years, the inability to show sufficient sensitivity to the profession, secretarial profession which has been seen as the profession of female and community to have a bias on this issue are among the factors hindering the development of the profession. On the other hand, it is contemplated that firstly, Office Services and Secretariat departments in the universities plays an important role in the correction of these perspectives which obstructs to the development of the profession. In the study, an area of research has been conducted in Erzincan University Tercan Vocational School, in order to present the necessity and the importance of vocational education due to the reasons stated above. Aformentioned subject of study is intended to identify the differences between the views of the students studying in this field and the views of other departments’ students. According to the findings obtained by the applied questionnaire; the differences between the perspectives of department students and other department students in vocational school to the profession have been analyzed comparing them and using SPSS for Windows package program.
