Assoc. Prof. ZEKERİYA FATİH İNEÇ

Dr. Z. Fatih İNEÇ began his undergraduate studies in the Department of Social Studies Education at Abant İzzet Baysal University and completed his program at Atatürk University, Faculty of Education, Erzincan. He started his academic career in 2009 as a Research Assistant in the Department of Social Studies Education, Elementary Education Program, Erzincan University. He completed his master's and doctoral studies at the Social Sciences Institute of Erzincan University, within the Departments of Elementary Education and Turkish & Social Sciences Education, specializing in Social Studies Education.

Dr. İneç earned his PhD in 2017 and was appointed as a Faculty Member in the Department of Early Childhood Education, Basic Education Division, at the same university in 2018. In 2022, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor.

His research focuses on social studies teaching, instructional design, technology integration in education, and cultural transmission, with numerous publications in national and international journals, books, and academic conferences. In addition, he holds two national distinctions in programming and design and possesses advanced expertise in software development and design.

In this capacity, he has established the informatics infrastructures of various public institutions, private entities, and organizations both domestically and abroad, and has played an active role in strategic informatics projects conducted at the national level. İneç, who has specifically developed national software solutions aimed at cultural transmission in social studies education, designed Turkey's first web mapping and semantic artificial intelligence-based geomedia technology. Furthermore, he has developed coding projects, geogames, and virtual reality applications with the objective of contributing to the transmission of Turkish culture in the digital realm. He currently continues his duties as a Principal Member of the ATAM Science Board, to which he was appointed in 2025, as well as his roles in various commissions within the Ministry of National Education.
