Özet

Oxidation of benzylic and allylic substrates with a bis(trifluoroacetoxyiodo)benzene/tert-butyl hydroperoxide system to the corresponding alpha,beta-unsaturated enones was investigated. The scope and reaction mechanism are discussed.
