Özet

Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) is primarily a material-recycling resource, but pyrolysis may be considered for demonstrably end-of-life fractions. This conference study presents a deterministic screening on a functional basis of 1 t dry RAP. Binder-basis waste-bitumen yields are converted to whole-RAP outputs, chromatographic diesel-range composition is separated from physical recovery, and thermal-duty and fuel-revenue ceilings are calculated. At 5.8 wt.% binder, gross oil yields are 24.94, 29.00, and 17.98 kg/t RAP at 450, 500, and 550 °C, respectively. With a central diesel-range fraction of 0.4027 and recovery efficiency of 0.75, the estimated recoverable diesel-range product (DRF) is 7.53, 8.76, and 5.43 kg/t RAP. The calculated thermal duty is 483.65–579.84 MJ/t RAP. At 75% useful gas-to-feed heat-transfer efficiency, the required gas LHV is 61.76, 67.91, and 37.03 MJ/kg. At a scenario product value of €1000/t, liquid revenue alone supports only €5.43–8.76/t RAP of net process cost. Mineral thermal ballast and low organic recovery therefore constrain whole-RAP pyrolysis and justify targeted pilot work on binder-rich end-of-life fractions before plant-level TEA or LCA.
