This paper investigates the mediating role of perceived supervisor support in the relationship between interactive justice and emotional commitment. At the same
time, the
study
also looked at the
relationship between interactional justice and
emotional commitment, between
interactional justice and perceived supervisor
support, and between perceived supervisor
support
and
emotional commitment. A survey research design was employed, using the convenience sampling
technique with a sample population of 500 respondents drawn from Turkey and Nigeria. A
structured questionnaire was used to gather information from the
respondents through the usage of previous scales
on interactive justice
(IJ),
emotional commitment
(EM), and perceived supervisor
support (PSS). The
findings revealed a significant positive relationship between IJ and EM;
IJ
has a significant positive effect on PSS. It
was revealed that the mediating role of PSS was insignificant on
the IJ and EM. It was
therefore
concluded that IJ has a significant positive effect
on
EM, while PSS plays a mediating but
insignificant
role on both.
