Deparments, are called as two-years or associate degree, are opened mostly as thought as continuation of vocational schools. This study aims to examine development of popular programs which depend on vocational schools in Turkey and to emphasize to its importance. Aim of vocational schools; to train qualified personnel who can increase competitiveness of industry, commercial and services sectors in training fields and to train entrepreneurs who are able to establish their own business. In vocational schools, as well as education of diploma, it is also given importance to certification training for supplying competition in services and increasing productivity and quality. For this reason, lesson shedules and their contents are formed in accordance with the requirements of sectors. In

this context, is is provided collaboration and communication which based on mutual benefit with bussiness world and society. Thanks to this collaboration, national and global developments are taken into consideration, necessary requirement of personnel who will meet consistently needs, requirements and expectations of society and bussiness world is provided. Criterias such as connection between occupational fields which will be preferred with other occupational fields, employment opportunities, openness to development and technology, validity in the world and country are matters that must be considered on choice of occupational field.
