The female of the family Stigmaeidae is ordinarily used for identification purposes, but, to the contrary, the identification of species in the genus Cheylostigmaeus is mainly and unusually dependent on the male's characters. However, the new species described in this paper has been identified from the female due to its distinctive characters: suranal shield is completely tucked under the body, suranal setae are slimmer and without hyaline sheath, subcapitulum is hyalinised distally, setae or2 are thickened, curved and spinulate distally.
