Abstract
In this case, the story of a woman who lost her eye as a result of neglect by relatives in the first degree was shared. Our case, who was 82 years old female patient, closed her eyes with a bandage she found at home because of the ingrown foreign body in her left eye about two months ago. Afterwards, the patient was brought to the hospital with an ambulance by a relative on the development of pain and suffering in the eye. As a result of ophthalmologic examination, the left eye had conjunctival intense hyperemic purulence along with periorbital edema and helminths were located under the conjunctiva, under the eyelid, under the conjunctiva or deeper into the optic nerve and retina. With the increase of elderly population to the total population, elder abuse-neglect increases and continues to be a problem.
