Özet

The rate of cross pollination in pumpkins is very high. Due to cross pollination, different lines may appear from the original seed. The genetic diversity of 14 local winter squash genotypes collected from Erzincan province was investigated. SSR (Simple Sequence Repeat) markers were used to determine the genetic diversity of these genotypes. The 7 SSR markers used produced a total of 15 polymorphic bands, the number of alleles per marker ranged from 2 to 5, and the mean number of alleles was 3.28. Gene diversity per marker was found to be an average of 0.155. The mean of Nei gene diversity (h) was 0.477. The polymorphic information content (PIC) ranged from 0.00 (GMT-M30) to 0.202 (GMT-P25) and the average PIC value per token was 0.152. Cluster analysis using Nei's genetic distance determined that 14 genotypes were divided into 3 main groups. In this study, it was aimed to determine the SSR markers and the degree of genetic relatedness at the molecular level of some local winter squash genotypes grown in Erzincan province. The results of this study show that SSR analysis can be used successfully for the estimation of genetic diversity among winter squash genotypes and that this genetic material, whose diversity has been determined, can potentially be included in future studies.
