Abstract

Cannabinoids have become both a promising area of research

in modern pharmacology and a risk factor that requires careful management

for public health. This book chapter aims to provide a scientific and ethical

perspective on the role of cannabinoids in modern medicine by considering

their chemical diversity, biological basis, pharmacological mechanisms,

preclinical experimental findings, clinical applications, and abuse potential.
