Bu araştırmanın amacı otantik öğrenmenin sosyal bilgiler dersinde uygulanmasında kullanılabilecek yöntem ve teknikleri belirlemektir. Ayrıca otantik öğrenmede daha önce kullanılmamış yeni yaklaşımların deneysel çalışmalara nasıl uyarlanabileceğini göstermektir. Bunun için birinci yazar tarafından yürütülen deneysel bir doktora tez çalışmasından elde edilen verilerden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında otantik öğrenme modeli yeni bilgi teknolojileriyle öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Bu çerçevede ilgili literatürde geçen öğretim yöntemleri ve teknikleri açıklanmıştır. Mevcut literatürde yer almayan üç yeni yaklaşım da otantik öğrenme sürecinde sınanmıştır. Yeni yaklaşımların kullanılmasıyla öğrenciler tarihi olayları yeniden gerçekleştirmiştir. Araştırma bu bakımdan önemlidir. Çalışma, bir yöntembilim çalışmasıdır.
The aim of this research is to determine the methods, techniques and new approaches, which can be applied in the practise of the authentic learning in social studies course. In addition, it demonstrates how new approaches, which have not been applied in authentic learning, can be adapted to new experimental studies. So, the data obtained from an experimental doctoral dissertation, which was conducted by the first author, was used. Within the scope of the study, the authentic learning model was applied for the students benefitting from the newest information technologies. In this frame, the teaching methods and techniques stated in the relevant literature were described. Three new approaches, which are not included in the current literature, were also tested during the learning process. Using of the new approaches, students re-established historical events. The study is a methodology study.
