Özet

Work engagement and job satisfaction are among the most desirable and interrelated psychological states in the workplace. In this article, a meta-analysis study was conducted to examine the relationship between these two work psychologies throughout the literature and to determine whether effect of national culture on this relationship. The findings of the meta-analysis on 66 studies in the literature showed that there was a positive relationship between work engagement and job satisfaction and masculine cultures have a negative moderating effect on this relationship, while indulgence culture has a positive moderating effect. According to the results, in order to prevent the employees from turnover and burnout; Managers should especially avoid imposing a masculine and restraint work culture. Instead, they should strive to create and strengthen a psycho-socially comfortable work culture, in which decisions are made on the basis of mutual understanding and cooperation, and in which employees can act freely to attain their job and organizational desires.
