Özet

In this study, the effects of prism turbulators with different numbers of holes were examined with the Ansys-Fluent 2021 program to increase the heat transfer coefficient and reduce the pressure drop in a heat exchanger pipe. The distance between the perforated prism turbulators increasing from the test pipe entrance to the exit is 160 mm. Analyzes were carried out in the range of Re=11871-19110. Findings have shown that perforated prism turbulators offer notable benefits compared to plain pipe. For the increasing Re number due to the increase in fluid flow rate, both heat transfer coefficient values and pressure drop values increased. The maximum pressure increase rate compared to the empty pipe was 1421.74% in the 6-hole prism turbulators at Re = 19110. The maximum heat transfer coefficient increase rate compared to the plain pipe was 55.55% in the 6-hole prism turbulator at Re = 11871. Although 6 perforated prism turbulators are more advantageous in terms of heat transfer coefficient increase, it has been concluded that 1 perforated prism turbulator is more advantageous in terms of pressure drop.
