In this research, survey data obtained from wheat, barley and rye producing farms with or without having machines in Erzurum were used. Labor, land, fertilizer, fuel and machinery rent lay an important role in input policies. translog cost functions was used to calculate price, cross and Morishima elasticitiy of technical substitution. The model was solved by using Seemingly Unrelated Regression method (SUR). The results of this research showed that the sensitivity of wheat, barley and rye producing farmers for all input prices was inelastic. Based on elasticity of substitution, it was determined that instead of renting machinery, owning it and buying fuel was more advantageous. © Ankara Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi.
