This research, which is designed according to the mixed model approach, consists of three different study groups [Group 1: 330 (130 female, 200 male), Group 2: 32 (8 female, 24 male): Group 3:17 (5 female, 12 male)]. Candidate Teacher Self-Perception Questionnaire (AÖKİYAÖ), Drawing-Writing Form and Case Study were used as data collection tools. Comparisons between independent variables such as gender, class level, high school and field type graduated for the normal distribution of the data, and the total points obtained by the data were performed by parametric tests with t-test and One-way ANOVA. In the analysis of qualitative data, content analysis technique is used. As a result of the quantitative evaluations, the qualification perceptions of candidate teachers did not differ according to their gender and grade levels. As a result, quantitative findings indicate that the physical education teachers’ perceptions of professional competence related to themselves are high, while qualitative findings support this.
