ABSTRACT
The aim of this
study is to investigate the relationship between problematic internet use and
nutrition exercise attitudes of high school students. 402 high school students
were participated. The study included 72 female aged 16,36±1,259 years and 330
men aged 16,35±1,251 years. Problematic internet use scale and nutrition
exercise attitude scale were used to collect the data.
A statistically
significant difference was not found in the comparison of participant's
internet usage and nutritional exercise attitudes according to sex and mother's
employment status (P> 0,05). It has been determined that problematic internet
use of male participants does affect nutrition exercise attitude and that a
unit change of problematic internet use affects nutrition exercise attitude by
6.4% (P<0.05), on the other hand, problematic internet use of participating female
participating in research did not affect nutrition exercise attitude (P >0.05).
In conclusion,
in high school students, while the problematic internet usage does not affect
the nutritional attitudes for females problematic internet usage affects
nutrition attitudes in males. The situation in female is thought to be caused
by the low number of female participants.
Key words: Nutrition, Exercise, Internet.
